The wind is smooth and the grass grows and the warblers fly. On the morning of April 15th, “Literary Mind and Calligraphy-Zhang Liguo’s China Flower and Bird Exhibition” kicked off at Juntao Art Institute. The event was co-sponsored by Zhejiang Literature and History Research Institute, Old Professor Art Center of China Academy of Fine Arts, Zhejiang Kaiming Painting Academy, Tongxiang Culture, Radio, Film and Television Press and Publication Bureau and Tongxiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
It is understood that there are 40 works of vertical axis, mirror, horizontal scroll and sector in this exhibition, all of which are selected from some works created by Zhang Liguo in recent years and retained by individuals. In the picture, the delicate butterfly dragonfly and the unrestrained flower turquoise, the colorful butterfly ink flower or the colorful butterfly ink flower constitute a unique contrast beauty. The freshness of spring, the enthusiasm of summer, the richness of autumn and the profundity of winter are also shown in the works on display this time.
Zhang Liguo, born in August 1947 in Shanghai, was originally from Anji, Zhejiang. Now he is a member of China Artists Association, a member of Calligraphy seal cutting Committee of China Literature and Art Critics Association, a researcher of Zhejiang Literature and History Research Institute, a director of Friends of Poetry and Calligraphy Society of Zhejiang CPPCC, a vice president of Zhejiang Kaiming Painting Academy, and a tutor of senior professors of China Academy of Fine Arts in flower and bird painting advanced research class.
“I’m very excited and moved to hold a personal flower-and-bird exhibition in Tongxiang, which is rich in things and people, outstanding in people and profound in culture.” Zhang Liguo said that he regarded this exhibition as a report to the society. As a newcomer to seventy years of age, he was willing to persevere, continue to devote himself to the development of art theory teaching research and the creation of flower-and-bird paintings, and melt his understanding of China’s culture, painting and calligraphy into pen, ink, paper and silk.
It is reported that “Wen Xin Han Mo-Zhang Liguo China Flower and Bird Exhibition” will end on May 15th.
