On the morning of September 21st, Yuhang District Folk Belief Work Conference was held in Renhe Sub-district Office. The meeting analyzed the general situation and existing problems of the current folk belief places, and made arrangements for doing a good job in the daily management of folk belief places. Relevant responsible persons of towns and streets in the whole region, responsible persons of the District People’s Religious Affairs Bureau and personnel of relevant departments attended the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that carrying out the management of folk belief affairs can fully tap the cultural connotation existing in folk beliefs, which is conducive to protecting excellent folk traditional culture and respecting national folk customs, so that excellent traditional culture can play an active role in enriching the spiritual life of the broad masses of the people. All towns and streets should take standardizing the registration number of folk belief places as the starting point, integrate the standardized management of folk belief places into the grid social governance system, establish and improve various management systems, strengthen the construction of place teams, improve the internal management level, and enhance the safety and environmental appearance of places, so as to better play the positive role of folk beliefs in promoting economic and social development.
The meeting pointed out that the management of folk belief affairs is a new exploration and practice, and it will face many new situations and problems. All towns and streets should give full play to their talents, blaze new trails, sum up experience, improve methods, solicit and listen to the opinions of believers, do a good job in education and guidance, and take effective measures to improve their management level.
During this period, the participants visited Dongshan Temple in Dongshan Village, a typical place of folk belief activities in Renhe Sub-district Office, and listened to the introduction of the daily management of this place by the relevant person in charge.
