On December 28, sponsored by the Sanxingdui Museum, Jinsha Site Museum and Zhoushan Museum in Guanghan, Sichuan Province, the “Mysterious Ancient Shu Kingdom – Sanxingdui and Jinsha Ruins Unearthed Cultural Relics Exhibition” was launched in the special exhibition hall on the first floor of Zhoushan Museum.
A total of 137 pieces (sets) of cultural relics are exhibited in this exhibition, which gathers the essence of cultural relics from the Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan and the Jinsha Site Museum in Chengdu, mainly bronze (bronze products) and jade ware, as well as gold and pottery, including human and animal statues, eye-shaped wares, jade ritual vessels and gold ornaments. All kinds of cultural relics not only highlight the characteristics of ancient Shu technology culture and aesthetic culture, but also the epitome of ancient Shu religious culture. The exhibition is divided into two parts: “Three Stars with the Moon – Sanxingdui Ancient Shu Kingdom Temple Secret Treasures” and “Jinsha Relics – Ancient Shu Kingdom Sacrificial Heavy Weapons in the Jinsha Period”, showing people a culturally colorful and infinitely wonderful ancient Shu society from multiple aspects.
The exhibition will run until March 15, 2017.
