From 21st to 24th, the 2021 International Symposium on Museums and Sustainable Development was held in Anji Pavilion of Zhejiang Natural Museum. The theme of the conference is “Remodeling and Sustainable Development of Museums”, and four sub-topics are set up, including “Sustainability of Museums”, “Museums and Cities, Communities”, “Cross-border Cooperation of Museums” and “Frontiers of Museum Education Development”.
It is reported that the next seminar agenda includes 10 keynote speeches and 4 theme salons. More than 100 museum practitioners, experts and scholars will pay attention to Anji, the birthplace of the concept of “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”. More than 30 Chinese and foreign guests will exchange the latest achievements in the sustainable development of museums around the world through online and offline methods, and explore new ideas and methods for the scientific and sustainable development of tourism, education and cross-border integration on the basis of good planning and construction.
It is reported that this seminar is guided by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the International Association of Museums, co-sponsored by the Research and Exchange Center of the International Association of Museums and the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, supported by Shanghai University, the China Museum Association, the Anji County Government and the Provincial Museum Society, and the Sustainable Development Committee of the International Association of Museums provides academic support.
