Recently, the “Magnetic Resonance Imaging System” of Xingaoyi Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. has been approved by the National Drug Administration and successfully marketed. Since then, the first national innovative medical device in Ningbo was born.
“Magnetic resonance imaging system” is jointly developed by Xingaoyi Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. (and its subsidiary Ningbo Gaosi Superconductor), Nottingham University and Ningbo Huamei Hospital of National University of Science and Technology. As a key research and development project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, it has been strongly supported by Ningbo Science and Technology Bureau and Yuyao Science and Technology Bureau.
The product is composed of superconducting magnet (1.5T), scanning bed, spectrometer, RF system, gradient system, console, isolation transformer, transmission coil, gradient coil, respiratory gating, and RF receiving coil for clinical MRI image diagnosis.
Liquid helium is a rare strategic resource that is extremely scarce. Traditional superconducting magnetic resonance consumes 30% of the global liquid helium consumption, making it the largest industry.
In recent years, the price of liquid helium has continued to rise due to foreign production control.
“Magnetic resonance imaging system” the main innovation point is the use of liquid helium superconducting magnet technology, superconducting magnet using refrigerator direct conduction cooling.
Compared with the conventional magnetic resonance system, the system has the characteristics of simplified structure, weight reduction, cost optimization, mobile stability, and no liquid helium maintenance, which can further reduce the cost of clinical users and improve the safety of the equipment.
This technological breakthrough enables China’s magnetic resonance production and clinical application to completely get rid of the constraints of foreign liquid helium supply, guarantee the supply safety of high-end medical equipment in China, and lead the “new reform” of the magnetic resonance industry.
Under the new functional features, the system can also extend many innovative applications: mobile magnetic resonance, allows the operation patients safely; rotating magnetic resonance examination, can perform multi-posture medical diagnosis, can also perform multi-posture brain function imaging and scientific research; on-vehicle magnetic resonance, can be rapid emergency response and strategic deployment.
These are functions that are not easy for conventional superconducting MR to do.
At present, this product has applied for 8 invention patents, 8 authorized utility model patents, of which 2 key technologies have been applied for invention patents in China.
