Yesterday, “Silk Road Painting Language: Italian Journey – Tang Liang Pen Painting Art Exhibition” opened at the West Lake Museum in Hangzhou. The exhibition showcases more than 100 works by painter Tang Liang, including on-site sketches of the ancient city of Verona and West Lake in Hangzhou, as well as Italian and European landscapes, with themes such as black and white pen drawings and pastel pen paintings of ancient town buildings, castles, churches, and landscapes.
In March 2019, Hangzhou West Lake and the ancient city of Verona, Italy, signed the “Agreement on Friendly Relations between World Heritage Sites”, marking the beginning of cultural exchanges between the two World Heritage Sites and the “City of Love”. In order to celebrate the establishment of friendly relations between the two heritage sites, the famous painter Mr. Tang Liang made a special trip to Verona for a month-long on-site sketching before October 2019.
The exhibition is divided into four sections, namely: Verona and Hangzhou West Lake, Italy, Tang Liang Pen Painting International Tour Exhibition (Hangzhou Station), European Style, and Pen Painting Landscapes, Figures and Flowers.
The exhibition will last until February 28, 2020, so don’t miss it!
