During the Spring Festival, in order to encourage people to buy New Year’s goods online and celebrate the New Year on the spot, six ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Commerce launched the “2021 National Online New Year’s Day” activity to ensure that everyone has a safe and healthy Spring Festival. Closely combining the characteristics of the “Online New Year Goods Festival” and the new digital life services, Zhejiang Province organized a series of activities with the theme of “Online Zhejiang New Year Goods” from January 20 to February 18. According to incomplete statistics, 268 publicity and promotion activities and 4436 live broadcast activities were held in the province, more than 10 billion coupons and consumer vouchers were issued, and the online sales reached 271 billion yuan, including more than 15 billion yuan for necessities. It mainly has the following characteristics:
1、 The merchant platform has more participation. More than 10 comprehensive e-commerce platforms, including Alibaba, and more than 280 local regional e-commerce platforms, including “Sanjiang Cloud Cuisine”, participated in the activity, and more than 100,000 enterprises and businesses participated in the activity through the platform. The passenger flow of 33 pedestrian streets monitored was 3.67 million person times in seven days, 8 times that of last year, and the cumulative turnover reached 412 million yuan, an increase of 8.9 times. The number of people in 101 shopping malls was 14.83 million, an increase of 205%; The sales volume was 1.88 billion yuan, up 257.4%.
Second, the short distance tour and surrounding tour bring hot food and accommodation consumption, and the food consumption is particularly prosperous. In sharp contrast to last year’s nearly closed down, thanks to the increase in the number of people staying in Zhejiang and the sunny weather, enjoying the beautiful scenery and delicious food in the suburbs has become the most popular holiday model for this Spring Festival. The accommodation industry rebounded rapidly, with the turnover increasing by 45.1%; The catering industry is particularly prosperous, and the heat continues to rise. The accumulated turnover during the Spring Festival holiday increased by 519.5% year on year.
Third, the nightly consumption is vigorous and eye-catching. Ancient towns, characteristic blocks and comprehensive volumes in various places create a night consumption atmosphere, and people play around the clock, stimulating “all-weather consumption”. The nighttime sales of sample enterprises in Hangzhou reached 690 million yuan, up 199.5%, accounting for 54.1% of the total sales. The film market is booming, and the turnover of 73 cinemas monitored has increased more than 10 times year-on-year.
Fourth, there were numerous online and offline activities, which ignited residents’ enthusiasm for consumption.
