On May 13,2021, the Ministry of Public Security issued A class A-level wanted warrant, announcing the sixth batch of 10 fugitives responsible for major cultural relics crimes, including Cao Zhonghua, born in Xuanzhou, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province.
After a joint investigation, Xuancheng police and police in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, finally identified the fugitive Cao Zhonghua on October 4 and arrested him on the same day.
Since March 2021, the Xuancheng police received a clue from the Suzhou police: Cao Zhonghua, a man from Xuanzhou, fled after the case of Suzhou, and asked the Xuancheng police to assist in the investigation.
In May of the same year, the Ministry of Public Security issued A class A wanted warrant, issuing the sixth batch of 10 fugitives for major cultural relics crimes: Peng’an, Cao Xiaohan, Zhou Yucai, Cao Zhonghua, Yan Hao, Zhang Dehai, Zhang Shouyong, Wei Chuanguo, Wang Youliang and Li Jie.
After six months of careful investigation, Xuancheng Public Security Bureau finally locked the suspect hiding in an abandoned house of a farmer in Langxi County. On the afternoon of October 4, Xuancheng police and Suzhou police cooperated to arrest the A-class wanted criminal of the Ministry of Public Security.
That night, the Xuancheng police will capture the Ministry of Public Security A class wanted man handed over to the Suzhou police.
At this point, suspected of digging the tomb of Xuanzhou man Cao Zhonghua, on the run for 7 months, finally fell into the law.
Since 2017, the criminal suspect Cao Zhonghua, together with others, has repeatedly excavated ancient tombs of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period in Suzhou, acquired a large number of precious cultural relics and sold them.
The case is under further trial.
