Sponsored by Yongkang Museum and undertaken by Yongkang Wan Tai Art Museum, “Seiko Beauty-Wufengtang Rare Tin Collection Exhibition” was officially launched in Yongkang Museum.
Tin, also known as “Lang”, so the tin smith is also called “Lang craftsman”. There is tin in the bronze wares of Shang dynasty in ancient Chinese civilization. It can be said that without tin, there would be no bronze, no bronze, and the ancient civilization and wisdom of the bronze age would no longer exist. During the Tang and Song Dynasties, tin ware has been widely used, resulting in a large number of tin household utensils. Such as tableware, wine set, tea set and powder set. From the end of the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, three jade-inlaid tin pots were produced. Their first-class materials, superb skills, exquisite modeling, exquisite carving and elegant play by literati made tin wares rank among the treasures of literary play in one fell swoop, which was deeply loved by the royal family and dignitaries.
In this exhibition, there are 269 pieces of exquisite ancient tin wares, with exquisite shapes, various forms and different uses, covering all levels of folk life. The exhibition will last until March 6. During the lively Spring Festival, in order to enrich the public’s cultural life, in combination with this exhibition, the museum will also carry out a series of social education activities such as “painting lanterns” and “solve riddles on the lanterns”.
