On the morning of September 8th, the special exhibition “Dreaming Back to the Great Song Dynasty – Diary of Scholar Life” jointly planned by Lishui Museum and Shanghai Han Tianheng Art Museum opened at the municipal museum. The exhibition showcases the material interests, craftsmanship, and fashion of Song Dynasty literati in the context of their leisurely life, reflecting the spiritual world and aesthetic taste of Song Dynasty literati.

This exhibition focuses on the unique and rich daily lives of Song Dynasty scholars through the reproduction of scenes, vivid audio-visual language, and relaxed and lively narrative methods. It focuses on 278 sets of high-quality Song Dynasty artifacts made of different materials and techniques such as gold, silver, copper, porcelain, jade, stone, wood, and lacquer, depicting the unique cultural and popular elements of the Song Dynasty, and explaining the aesthetic and character of Song Dynasty literati, Let the audience further experience the excellent cultural elements and inner spirit of Chinese culture.
The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports stated that the “Dream of the Great Song Dynasty – Diary of Scholar Life” special exhibition is not only a special exhibition, but also a fusion of aesthetic promotion and industrial thinking activation. It is Lishui’s exploration in a new historical position to effectively promote the creative transformation and innovative development of Song rhyme culture in Lishui, making Lishui an important geographical coordinate for the inheritance of Song rhyme culture in Zhejiang.
Han Tianheng, honorary president of the Chinese Academy of Arts · China Seal Engraving Academy, vice president of Xiling Seal Engraving Society, and chief consultant of Shanghai Calligraphers Association, went to Wenzhou to join the army as early as 1959 through Lishui. Since then, he has become attached to Lishui. He has repeatedly given strong guidance and promotion to characteristic cultural tourism brands such as Longquan sword porcelain culture, Qingtian stone culture, Jinyun Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle), etc. At the opening ceremony, Han Tianheng said that the culture of the Song Dynasty was highly prosperous. From the handed down artifacts and artworks of the Song Dynasty, the Song people have established a model of minimalist aesthetics in China. He hopes that through this exhibition, unique cultural and popular elements of the Song Dynasty will be presented, allowing modern people to experience the fashion and character hidden in the context of literati ‘leisurely life at that time.
It is understood that the exhibition will continue until November 8th. During the exhibition, three Song Dynasty cultural and artistic night markets will also be held. In addition to the opening night of the exhibition, they will also be held in late September and late October, respectively.
