This is the first time that the Asian Sports Journalists Association has held such an event, soliciting applications and verifying relevant materials from reporters before the Asian Games. Journalists who have covered 5 or more Asian Games, including this year’s Asian Games, are eligible to obtain certificates. A total of 96 journalists met the requirements, with over half of them from China. The certificate indicates the number of times journalists have reported on the Asian Games, with the most participation in reporting on the 10th Asian Games, spanning nearly 40 years. The President of the Asian Sports Journalists Association and Korean, Zheng Xidun, expressed sincere respect to the award-winning journalists. The hard work of the journalists has played a crucial role in the vigorous development of the sports industry, and such contributions are worthy of pride. Former Olympic champion and current member of the International Olympic Committee, South Korean table tennis player Yoo Seung min, arrived at the award ceremony to congratulate the reporters. He stated that being able to cover the Asian Games for more than five times is very difficult, and as an athlete, he cannot participate in so many times.
