In order to improve the photography level of various Buddhist sites, recently, the Buddhist Association of Beilun District of Ningbo organized the first photography training class at Ashoka Ancient Temple. Editors from various Buddhist sites in Beilun District and WeChat official account received training and listened to the special training course on photography skills brought by Zhang Yi, a senior photographer.
During the lecture, based on the daily mobile phone photography function, Zhang Yi vividly explained the main points of photography foundation in easy-to-understand language. Focusing on “how to take a good photo”, this paper explains and analyzes the composition, light, focus and other elements of the picture with photographic works as the guide. Combined with the characteristics of religious activities, Mr. Zhang led the students to practice shooting.
This photography training not only provided the students with an opportunity to learn about photography knowledge, but also enhanced their photography skills. The students expressed that they had benefited a lot from the original “taking pictures” stage to “photography”.
It is understood that in order to improve the standardized management level of Buddhist sites and show the characteristics of one temple and one product in Buddhist sites, the Beilun Buddhist Association has specially formulated a skill training plan for teaching staff, and will also organize courses such as archives, writing and multimedia production.
