A few days ago, the first piece of the second lining of the right tunnel of Qingdao Huangshan Qi Great Wall Tunnel, the G204 national highway widening and reconstruction project, was successfully completed, which laid a good foundation for the follow-up project.
Located between Huangshan Mountain and Baowu Mountain in Qingdao, the tunnel is designed as a two-way separated four-lane two-hole one-way traffic with a total length of 2957 meters. In order to protect the ancient site of the Great Wall of Qi and consider environmental protection, G204 National Road crosses the pass of Huangshan Mountain, and adopts the method of “replacing the road with a tunnel” to avoid large-scale mountain damage. Since entering the site, the builders of China Construction Road and Bridge Group have overcome the high technical standards and strict quality requirements of tunnel construction and the impact of COVID-19 epidemic, seized the favorable opportunity, made scientific scheduling and made careful arrangements, and effectively promoted the project construction. Qi Great Wall Tunnel Project is a key infrastructure project in Shandong Province. Upon completion, it will become the first highway tunnel in the 216-kilometer section of G204 National Road in Qingdao, and build a north-south passage running through Qingdao West Coast New District.
