On March 2nd, Lu Yingchuan, member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, met with Xin Bao, the patriarch of Foguangshan Religious Committee and abbot of Foguangshan Temple in Taiwan Province, and his party.
Lu Yingchuan expressed deep condolences for the death of the master of the long nebula, the founder of Foguang Mountain. He reviewed the cooperation between the two sides and spoke highly of the contributions made by Master Xingyun and Foguangshan to cross-strait cultural exchanges.
Lu Yingchuan pointed out that people on both sides of the strait are of the same species and are connected by blood, so they should strengthen communication, integrate development and work together to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. He hoped that Xin Bao monk and Fo Guangshan would continue to support cross-strait cultural exchanges, and looked forward to further deepening cooperation between the two sides to jointly inherit and carry forward China’s excellent traditional culture.
Xin Bao monk said that Foguangshan will inherit Master Xing Yun’s long-cherished wish, support and participate in cross-strait cultural exchanges and cooperation as always, and contribute to the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.
