“Yiwu Zhizao” robot exported to Japan
Release date: May 29, 2019
On May 28th, in Yiwu Science and Technology Park, three “Beckham” logistics robots were being debugged for the last time, and the close cooperation was amazing. Even marat, an academician of the French Academy of Sciences and a famous artificial intelligence expert who came from afar to watch, could not help but give a thumbs up. On the same day, 33 “Beckham” robots are ready to go, and will cross the ocean to Japan to deliver customers, becoming the first cooperative autonomous mobile logistics robot exported to Japan in China.
This robot, praised by marat, is genuine “Yiwu Zhizao”, with independent intellectual property rights, and its working efficiency is more than twice that of manual pickers. It can be used in e-commerce warehouses and storage enterprises to assist staff in picking, delivering, replenishing and returning goods. Compared with the two-dimensional code navigation robot, which is the most widely used in the global logistics industry at present, the “Beckham” robot picking system basically needs no large-scale transformation of infrastructure such as warehouses, so it is favored by well-known Japanese logistics enterprises.
It is understood that the “Beckham” robot was developed by Yiwu Laisi Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Harbin Institute of Technology Robotics Group, for two years and is now the sixth generation product. At the 2017 Asian Logistics Exhibition, the experimental prototype of the “Beckham” robot was caught by Japanese merchants. In the past two years, according to the specific needs of Japanese users, R&D enterprises have been constantly polished and finally recognized by the Japanese market, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement last year.
“Japan is the world’s largest robot producer, and the export of’ Beckham’ robots to Japan proves that Yiwu not only has inexpensive small commodities, but also can provide high-tech and intelligent high-end equipment to the world.” The relevant person in charge of Yiwu Science and Technology Bureau said that in recent years, Yiwu has vigorously developed the artificial intelligence industry, and has cooperated with universities and enterprises such as Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Hualu Group, Datang Gaohong and Harbin Institute of Technology Robot Group to build a number of artificial intelligence technology innovation platforms, and the artificial intelligence industry has begun to take shape.
