“Collaborative Innovation, Self-reliance and Self-improvement-the spirit exhibition of’ Two Bombs and One Satellite’ will be opened to the public at the National Museum on the 2nd. The National Museum launched an exhibition with the theme of “two bombs and one satellite” for the first time, which was supported by more than 20 “two bombs and one satellite” development units, memorial halls for meritorious persons and related research and exhibition units.
“Two Bombs and One Satellite” refers to nuclear bombs (collectively referred to as atomic bombs and hydrogen bombs), missiles and artificial earth satellites independently developed by China’s scientific and technological workers from 1950s to 1970s. “Two bombs and one satellite”, as a proper term, is generally a general term for nuclear technology and space technology mastered by New China on its own.
Through 110 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, artistic works and models, 510 pictures, video and multimedia touch screens, the exhibition focuses on the extraordinary human miracle created by the vast number of developers under difficult conditions, the spirit of “two bombs and one satellite” forged in hard work and dedication, and the far-reaching impact of the great cause of “two bombs and one satellite” on national security and international strategic pattern.
The exhibition is divided into six parts: the first part is strategic deployment and strong leadership; The second part loves the motherland and makes selfless contributions; The third part is self-reliance and hard struggle; The fourth part is to cooperate vigorously and dare to climb; The fifth part is to strengthen the country and build the army by casting swords and shields; The sixth part inherits and innovates and continues to write brilliance.
On the 1st, the reporter saw at the scene that the theme exhibition covered a wide range of fields and was highly professional. More than 20 related institutions, including China National Nuclear Corporation, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and China Academy of Sciences, provided precious historical pictures, cultural relics exhibits and video materials for the exhibition, which made up for the shortage of Guobo’s collection. All parties made great efforts to make this theme exhibition.
At that time, for the development of “two bombs and one satellite”, top scientists and a large number of outstanding scientific and technological experts did earth-shattering things anonymously, and thousands of unsung heroes gave their youth, and some even gave their precious lives. The exhibition not only highlights the selfless dedication of 23 winners of the “Two Bombs and One Satellite Meritorious Medal”, but also introduces the collaborative efforts of nearly 150 scientific and technological experts and administrators from the nuclear industry, aerospace and Chinese Academy of Sciences in a multimedia interactive way, and also focuses on the hard work of ordinary builders who have given up their homes for their country. It is the dedication and sacrifice of countless people that have achieved the great cause of “two bombs and one satellite”.
At the same time, historical photos are an important way to show the theme of modern history. They directly and truly record the photos of historical moments and scenes, and have an irreplaceable role in literature and physical objects. One of the characteristics of this exhibition is the rich and precious historical photos, which bring the audience back to the era of entrepreneurship with burning passion and hard work.
