On the afternoon of April 16th, initiated by Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, a consortium of Zhejiang Life and Health Societies was formally established in Hangzhou. The establishment of Zhejiang Life and Health Society Consortium aims to further strengthen the sharing of resources in the field of life and health in our province and serve the high-quality development of life and health industry.
Reportedly, from the preparation to the establishment, the consortium embodies the characteristics of “high, big and high”. First of all, the consortium “stands high” and adheres to the concept of “co-construction, sharing, win-win, interoperability, mutual benefit and mutual assistance”. From the beginning of its establishment, the goal is to serve the province with talents and innovate the first strategy of strengthening the province, aiming at the high-tech highland in our province.
Secondly, the consortium consists of 46 provincial-level societies in five categories: clinical medicine, public health, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine and basic life sciences. It is an aircraft carrier and a master of the provincial-level societies in our province.
In addition, there are 12 5A-level societies in the member units of the consortium. The expert committee is led by five academicians from the medical field in our province and the only master of traditional Chinese medicine. The members of the presidium are the directors (presidents) of each society, representing the highest academic group in the field of life and health in our province.
At the meeting, the consortium issued an initiative: based on the basic status quo of Zhejiang’s life and health industry, unite and lead the scientific and technological workers in the field of life and health in our province, give full play to the supporting role of the consortium platform, and take the initiative in innovation, so as to contribute to the wisdom of the scientific community in order to build a “healthy China”, “Science and Technology China” Zhejiang model, build an “important window” at a high level and strive to be the first province in socialist modernization.
It is reported that the first meeting of the presidium of the consortium also reviewed and approved the articles of association of the consortium, the organizational structure and personnel list of the first presidium of the consortium, and the internal rules and regulations and work plan of the consortium.
