The 127th Canton Fair, which lasted for 10 days, ended on June 24th. In order to do a good job in summing up the participation of this year’s Yunnan-Guangzhou Fair and understand the effectiveness of enterprises’ participation. On the afternoon of 29th, Jiaxing Sub-committee organized a summary forum of the 127th Canton Fair. The meeting invited 12 representative exhibitors, including Liangyou Group, Senchuang Fashion and Jiake New Energy, to exchange their online exhibition results and difficulties respectively. The person in charge of the Foreign Trade Department of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce attended the meeting and made a concluding speech.
At the meeting, business leaders said in succession that the global industrial chain and supply chain brought challenges and pressures to world trade as the COVID-19 epidemic affected the whole world. For the first time in 63 years, the Canton Fair has been put on the “cloud” as a whole, and exhibitors have displayed it in all directions on the Internet for 10×24 hours. This innovative way of exhibiting has expanded the trading ideas and provided a “timely rain” for participating foreign trade enterprises and global buyers. All the exhibitors present said that the company attached great importance to the participation organization of the Canton Fair in the cloud, and prepared from the aspects of exhibits, live broadcast personnel, live broadcast room construction and marketing. Enterprises believe that by setting up shops online, more exhibits can be displayed without the limitation of booth area; Open a live broadcast room, so that merchants can communicate with each other when they see the “screen”, and also let more foreign traders have the opportunity to exercise. However, due to the short construction period of the platform, there is still much room for improvement in the development of related functions and additional apps, and the person in charge of the enterprise has also put forward a series of opinions and suggestions.
The person in charge of the Foreign Trade Office affirmed that enterprises actively used the online Canton Fair to display their corporate image and help stabilize the basic foreign trade market. Enterprises should take this online Canton Fair as an opportunity to do a good job in digital marketing, build their own brands and improve their competitiveness, so as to increase orders and protect market players.
