On August 23, “Shimen Hanyun – Hanzhong Museum Collection Expansion Exhibition” opened in the temporary exhibition hall of Haining Museum.
Shaanxi Hanzhong is a famous “hometown of plank roads” in China, and since the Han Dynasty, a large number of cliff carvings have been left on the stone walls of the plank road, which are not only important historical materials for ancient transportation, but also a great treasure trove of calligraphy art. The 29 rubbings on display in this exhibition are taken from these cliff carvings, including the famous Shimen Thirteen Pins and the “Ode to the Pavilion” and “Ode to the Western Narrows” in the Three Odes of the Han Dynasty.
At the same time, “Shimen Remembering Ancient – Zhang Zuozhou’s Old Photo Exhibition” was exhibited in the exhibition hall of Haining Museum to commemorate the old man Zhang Zuozhou, who made significant contributions to the protection of Shimen stone carvings during the construction of the Western Han Highway in the last century.
The exhibition ended on September 18. (Haining Museum)
