In order to implement various regulations on epidemic prevention and control in Wenzhou City and maintain peace and stability in the religious field during the Spring Festival, officials of the Ouhai District People’s Religious Affairs Bureau of Wenzhou City have adhered to their posts, strengthened inspections, troubleshooting, and visits, and continued to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control in the religious field. Local responsibility and site subject responsibility shall be assigned to each person. Each town and street held a meeting on epidemic prevention and control and fire safety deployment for religious activity venues before the Spring Festival. The town and street religious offices, three-person in-hall teams, and grid members quickly carried out publicity and supervision work, and posted closure notices at eye-catching locations such as entrances to religious (folk belief) activity venues and billboards within their jurisdiction, to build a strong line of defense for epidemic prevention and control, safety, and stability.
2、 Strengthen the on-duty force. During the Spring Festival holiday, ethnic cadres in Ouhai District voluntarily gave up their vacations and adhered to the front line of epidemic prevention. They participated in epidemic prevention and control patrols in religious activity venues every day to identify problems in a timely manner. At the same time, personnel on duty will be arranged to conduct online patrols using information management technology based on the Internet of Video, and continue to implement the “two suspensions” in the workplace to ensure that there are no dead ends in epidemic prevention and control. Among them, the leadership team fully played a exemplary role. On New Year’s Eve, Xiao Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the Ouhai District Committee and head of the United Front Work Department, led the team, accompanied by Ji Zhuren, deputy head of the United Front Work Department and director of the People’s Religious Affairs Bureau, and other people’s religious cadres, held out until 2 a.m. in religious activity venues such as Yongning Temple and Toutuo Temple, inspecting the “two pauses” and “Shangtou incense”, and took the lead in setting an example.
3、 Strengthen law enforcement. During the Spring Festival, the Ouhai District Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau discovered through inspections that a small number of people closed their doors and opened small ones, and a small number of people went in and out of the place. The Ouhai District People’s Court, the Zhenjie People’s Court, and the three-person in-court team conducted joint law enforcement to seal down and power off the Shima Palace in Zeya Town, the Woyun Temple in Chashan Street, and the Taiyin Palace in Wutian Street, which did not strictly implement the “two suspensions” policy for religious sites during the epidemic. Interview the person in charge of the venue on site and make a written inquiry. As of February 16, the Ouhai District Civil and Religious Affairs Bureau has imposed additional administrative penalties for confiscating illegal income on the Shima Palace and the Woyun Temple in Chashan Street, Zeya Town, and continued to follow up on the handling of subsequent cases. It has also requested each town and street to notify them as typical cases within the venue group, forming a deterrent.
