On April 26, the Hangzhou headquarters of Shulan Science and Technology held the unveiling ceremony of Shulan University and the awarding ceremony of DAMA China Data Governance Engineer (CDGA) certificate. The first batch of data governance engineers recruited, trained and registered by Shulan University were certified.
With the comprehensive promotion of digital transformation in all walks of life, the demand for data talents is becoming increasingly urgent. According to the data, by 2025, China’s big data talent gap will reach 2.5 million people, 60% of whom are data management talents. At the moment when challenges and opportunities coexist, Shulan University, established in early 2019, is committed to training digital leaders and professional first-class talents in the direction of big data and digital transformation, and is the first data education service provider in the market.
Ren Yinzi, president of Shulan University, introduced that Shulan University currently has three branches, namely, Business School, Data School and Research Institute. There are not only training for enterprise presidents, senior executives and middle managers, but also teacher training for universities in the big data direction. At the same time, Shulan Research Institute supports academic research.
At the beginning of this year, Shulan University also applied to the China Branch of the International Data Management Association (DAMA China) and obtained the qualification of DAMA data management knowledge system training base, and was authorized to conduct DAMA data management knowledge system course training and data governance professional qualification certification examination for college students, in-service engineers and other audiences.
Wang Guangsheng, chairman of the Chinese branch of the International Data Management Association, said that the passing rate of the first batch of students in the training of Shulan University reached 90%, which shows that the lecturers of Shulan University have rich professional knowledge, excellent business level, and the implementation ability of the training operation of Shulan University. He hoped that Shulan Science and Technology could seize the opportunities brought by the digital reform and provide talents for the national digital transformation in terms of talent training and basic research.
It is reported that Shulan University is still in contact with Tsinghua and plans to sign a cooperation agreement with Tsinghua to jointly build a global digital research center. At the same time, this year will also promote the establishment of discipline co construction cooperation with 20 colleges and universities across the country, and launch a big data education program covering 5000 students.
