The “Ten Thousand Miles of Traditional Villages” activity will organize media reporters, Internet celebrities, etc., to conduct field visits to traditional villages, and launch a number of online works that netizens like to see.
At the launching ceremony, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development hired Haixia, CCTV news anchor of China Central Radio and Television, and Xinhua News Agency’s first virtual Internet celebrity “Love” to jointly serve as ambassadors for the protection and promotion of traditional villages.
The protection of traditional villages in China has gone through 10 years, and has now formed the world’s largest, richest content and value, the most complete protection and the living inheritance of agricultural civilization heritage protection group. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, in conjunction with relevant departments, has included 6,819 villages in the list of traditional villages in China, implemented demonstrations of listed protection and centralized contiguous protection and utilization, and 520,000 historical buildings and traditional houses, and 3,380 intangible cultural heritages at or above the provincial level have been protected and inherited.
