In order to solidly promote the special rectification action to serve the safety of religious (folk belief) activities in G20 county and consolidate the achievements of the previous safety inspection and rectification activities, Shen Haiming, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of Deqing County Committee and director of the County Religious Affairs Bureau, organized the cadres of the Religious Affairs Bureau to go deep into the religious and folk belief activities in the county, and conducted safety inspections on more than 20 key places such as Yanxiaguan, Wushan Temple and Qingfu Temple.
Everywhere the inspectors went, they carried out a dragnet investigation on the hidden dangers in fire safety, building safety, food safety and personnel gathering safety, and checked whether the resident foreign monks applied for residence permits one by one. During the inspection, there are still 7 potential safety hazards in some places, such as weak safety awareness, incomplete fire-fighting equipment, and random stacking of combustible materials. Five potential safety hazards are urged to be rectified in time, and the remaining two potential hazards require the places to be rectified within one week. At the same time, combined with the current security and stability work in the religious field, specific requirements are put forward for various places: First, we must attach importance to safety work and raise safety awareness. Second, we must intensify self-examination to eliminate potential safety hazards. Third, we should improve the safety system and establish a long-term mechanism for safety work. All places are required to firmly establish the sense of responsibility of “safety first”, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the national conference on religious work, solidly carry out special rectification actions for workplace safety, resolutely put an end to safety accidents in places, ensure harmony and stability in the religious field in the county, and make contributions to the safe escort of G20.
