Recently, the Zhuji Municipal Religious Affairs Bureau has fully completed the registration and numbering of religious and folk belief sites in the city in accordance with the requirements of “adapting measures to local conditions, combining dredging and blocking, categorical guidance, and standardized management”.
The first is to respect history and ensure authenticity. In order to solidly carry out the work on registration numbers, conduct in-depth research on the sites to be registered, and employ methods such as adjusting and retaining, merging, repurposing, and demolishing, to carry out screening and classification, and comprehensively implement policies, to effectively promote the overall layout and cultural inheritance of venues for folk belief activities.
The second is to unify standards to ensure rationality. In the registration number, it is clear that if the building covers an area of less than 50 square meters, it will not be included in the registration number; those newly built in recent years shall not be included in the registration number; Within the scope of industrial zones, development zones, major project construction and demolition plans, they are not included in the registration number.
The third is to disclose information to ensure impartiality. Content such as the property rights and management organizations of folk places of worship are to be publicized in the village (community) affairs disclosure column; If there are potential fire safety hazards, all rectifications shall be carried out; The dilapidated houses in the premises will be rectified in place after being assessed by the intermediary agency. For some places where there are contradictions and disputes, after being discussed and approved by the meeting of the two village committees, they will be included in the number. Through the disclosure of information, it has won the recognition of the surrounding people.
Up to now, the Zhuji Municipal Religious Affairs Bureau has entered more than 295 places in the province’s religious information management system, with a completion rate of 100%.
