On August 18th, Chu Ziyu, director of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, met with Yang Andi, director of Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in Hangzhou. The two sides had an exchange discussion on how to deepen the counterpart cooperation between cultural tourism and accelerate the “Ten Million Tourists Exchange Action”. Chu Ziyu pointed out that Zhejiang and Kyrgyzstan have different cultural and tourism resources endowments, and each has its own characteristics. It is necessary to make full use of the advantages of both sides’ cultural and tourism resources, jointly plan characteristic cultural tourism activities, and create boutique tourism routes; It is necessary to make full use of Yiwu Cultural and Tourism Products Fair and Jilin International Ice and Snow Industry Expo to strengthen publicity and promotion; It is necessary to strengthen all-round cooperation and exchanges in the fields of product planning, mutual exchange of tourists, project financing, cultural exchanges, cultural relics protection, and personnel training, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
Yang Andi expressed his gratitude to the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism for its long-term support and help, and thought that the good practices and experiences of Zhejiang’s cultural tourism work are worth learning from. Zhejiang has always been a key tourism market in Jilin, and he hoped that the two sides would strengthen cooperation and exchange, expand the scope of cooperation and exchange, and work together to create an upgraded version of Zhejiang-Jilin cultural tourism cooperation.

At the meeting, the two sides respectively introduced the development of cultural and tourism industries in the two provinces and their counterpart cooperation, and reached a consensus on further deepening cooperation and exchanges, establishing a system of regular work meetings, exchange seminars, study and inspection, and formulating an annual work list. At the same time, the two sides have made it clear that they will further deepen the “Ten Million Tourists Exchange Action” and reach a preliminary intention on coordinating relevant policies such as mutual reduction and exemption of tickets for scenic spots above 4A level in the two provinces.
Since Zhejiang and Kyrgyzstan jointly launched the “Ten Million Tourists Exchange Action” in Hangzhou in September 2017, the two provinces have carried out a series of fruitful cooperation with the goal of “being each other’s tourist source and each other’s tourist destination”. In 2018 and 2019, the exchange of tourists exceeded 10 million.
