“Recently, many sellers who have been holding a wait-and-see attitude have asked us how to advertise and seize the traffic market.” As soon as the social training work conference for cross-border e-commerce talents in Hangzhou in 2023 started, the person in charge of Yike brought good news. “In terms of overseas digital marketing, many cross-border e-commerce sellers should focus on their efforts this year.”
With the recovery of the market, the cross-border e-commerce leaders in Hangzhou Comprehensive Test Zone began to lay out the new track for cross-border e-commerce brands to go to sea early, expand emerging markets, broaden platforms and marketing channels, and build their own brands. The diversified and higher-level talent demand that emerged in the development process of enterprises put forward more expectations for the gradient construction of cross-border e-commerce talents in Hangzhou.
On March 16th, Hangzhou Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Test Zone organized a social training meeting for cross-border E-commerce talents in Hangzhou. Wu Changhong, member of the Party Group and chief economist of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, attended the meeting, and business leaders of cross-border e-commerce authorities in Xiaoshan District, Yuhang District, Shangcheng District and Qiantang District, representatives of 15 social training bases for cross-border E-commerce talents in Hangzhou, representatives of Amazon, AliExpress and international station platforms attended.
At the meeting, representatives of various bases shared the social talent training work in 2022 and the work plan for 2023. Hangzhou Jiande Cross-border E-commerce Association provided free 45-day Amazon practical training in 2022. In the process of transporting talents to enterprises, it was found that “basic platform operators can’t stay, and enterprises have more and more demand for middle and senior operators.” The person in charge of the course in Hangzhou also found that the human-efficiency ratio of basic talents is not high. “Under the mature cross-border e-commerce ecology in Hangzhou, there are various needs for developmental talents.”
Feng Diyang, the founder of Hangzhou Pute Education Consulting Co., Ltd., feels that there is a mismatch in talent positions in the market. “Enterprises are not short of people, but lack professional talents, and recent graduates just lack professional skills.” Doing a good job in the connection between schools and society requires the support of social talent training institutions. To this end, Pute has set up 78 cross-border e-commerce production-education integration colleges in China and 6 in Hangzhou, covering application-oriented undergraduate and higher vocational colleges, providing skills training from mainstream cross-border e-commerce platform operation to independent station operation. This year, Feng Diyang wants to promote the “Double Hundred Talents Program” in Hangzhou Comprehensive Test Zone, and “tailor-made and specially deliver” college talents for hundreds of cross-border e-commerce head enterprises. “We hope that more skilled graduates will choose Hangzhou and stay in Hangzhou.”
The original intention of listing Hangzhou Social Talent Training Base is to train talents more accurately and focus on training skills. Since 2019 and 2021, the fifteen bases listed in two batches have their own characteristics and misplaced development. For example, Zhongzhi Cross-border E-commerce Talent Port Co., Ltd. focuses on the training of “Cross-border E-commerce Technicians” and “1+X” certificates, Haimeng Group focuses on providing logistics comprehensive service knowledge and skills, and han sheng is committed to overseas joint training for DTC brands..Networking high-quality localized resources, focusing on the platform of Ali International Station, focusing on independent stations and Tiktok training at the speed of light, linking different enterprises through incubator+training mode by Tuoxun, and training new sellers through cross-border and international trade digital incubation.
In the recruitment and retention of talents, various bases and cross-border e-commerce platforms also show their talents. Hangzhou Quality Promotion Association will promote the “cross-border e-commerce elite class” and hold a series of talent recruitment fairs, and focus on supporting cross-border e-commerce enterprises from other places to recruit talents in cooperation with investment promotion; Huazhi Media has precipitated a group of overseas talents who are “particularly slippery” in Chinese by hosting the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Competition in China, helping Hangzhou enterprises to tell good stories about going to sea; The Amazon Asia-Pacific Training Center in Hangzhou will open on March 28th, which will further build a talent ecosystem around Amazon. Alibaba AliExpress and International Station provide supporting services for Hangzhou merchants in terms of incubating new merchants, cooperating with offline parks, and seller knowledge training.
Relevant persons in charge of the Commerce Bureaus of Xiaoshan District, Yuhang District, Shangcheng District and Qiantang District introduced the district-level policies and relevant plans for finding new growth poles and reserve potential projects this year, and sought more cooperation from various training bases.
Wu Changhong, member of the party group and chief economist of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, pointed out that when carrying out the work in 2023, all social talent training bases should respond to the government’s ideas and combine the needs of enterprises, pay attention to the new trend of market demand for minority language talents and new track talents for live independent stations, and highlight their core competitiveness; Strengthen the linkage among bases, platforms, districts and counties, gather the strengths of each family and complement each other to hold training; Make good use of the newly introduced talent incubation support policy this year. This year, Hangzhou Comprehensive Test Zone will also strengthen the mechanism evaluation and dynamic assessment of cross-border e-commerce social talent training bases, delist unqualified bases and attract new members.
