On April 25, at the conference of the Asian Cultural Heritage Conservation Alliance, Li Qun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and Director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, Liu Yuzhu, Chairman of the China Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation and Director of the Management Committee of the Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Fund, He Chaoqiong, Standing Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Shun Tak Group, Guo Kaitian, Senior Vice President of Tencent Group and Chairman of Tencent Foundation, Zhao Liwen, Secretary-General of Beijing Taikang Yicai Public Welfare Foundation, Wang Ya, General Manager of Private Banking Center of Personal Digital Finance Department of Bank of China, Zhuo Ma Cairang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Moutai Group and Director of Kweichow Moutai Public Welfare Foundation, jointly launched the Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Fund.
Since its establishment in 2021, the Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Fund has explored and implemented a series of public welfare projects to promote cultural integration and people-to-people bonds, such as “Guardians of Angkor”, “Bamiyan Guardians”, “Asian Cultural Heritage Education Network” and “Asian Cultural Heritage Youth Forum”, and will carry out Asian cultural relics protection and restoration, joint archaeology, plan cultural relics exhibitions, promote the selection and promotion of “Best Practices in Asian Cultural Heritage Protection”, and strengthen international academic exchanges and young talent trainingIt is necessary to further consolidate the consensus on international cultural heritage protection, strengthen cooperation in cultural heritage protection, promote exchanges and mutual learning among Asian civilizations, and stimulate the vitality of Asian civilizations.
According to the guidelines for the application of Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Action Projects, the fund finances and supports joint archaeology, cultural relics protection and restoration, world heritage protection and management, cultural relics exhibition and display, talent training, academic research and exchange, public publicity and other projects under the framework of the Alliance through open application, and provides support for the operation and related work of the Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Alliance.
