In order to further promote traditional folk culture and further give play to the positive role of folk beliefs in maintaining social stability. A few days ago, the Chinese Wutong Ancestral Hall in Miaoyuan Village, Jiuhua Township, Quzhou City held a grand event of “Celebrating the 24 Solar Terms into the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mankind Jiuhua Miaoyuan Poetry Joint Pen Meeting”, and nearly 30 people from all over Quzhou participated in the event.
Last year, the “24 Solar Terms of China” was included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and the Jiuhua Lichun Festival has received attention from the country and the world as an important supporting project. Therefore, the event specially invited the backbone of Quzhou poetry couplet creation, the city’s well-known calligraphers and painters, and the leaders of the Kecheng Folk Literature and Art Association to hold the “Poetry Union Pen Meeting” in Jiuhua Miaoyuan Village, in order to welcome the upcoming Jiuhua “Spring Festival”. At the event site, everyone from all walks of life was already busy, and the walls, ropes, and ground were all just baked calligraphy works. The crowd of onlookers either praised endlessly, or took out their mobile phones to take pictures non-stop.
Mr. Wang Xiaolian, the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, folklorist and director of Quzhou Poetry Association, introduced that the main content of this activity is the creation and exchange of on-site poems of the 24 solar terms of human intangible cultural heritage, on-site calligraphy and painting creation, couplet writing, poetry recitation and collection and other activities. At that time, these excellent calligraphy works will be pasted on the pillars and beams of the Spring Temple, or displayed on the walls of the tourist reception center, and it will become an important part of the belief culture of Quzhou citizens.
