Yesterday was the “May Day” International Labor Day, the newly opened Linhai Museum has become a place that citizens love to visit, and on the first floor of the museum, a different kind of calligraphy exhibition has also attracted countless visitors – the authors of this calligraphy exhibition are all women, and the longest time to learn calligraphy is only four years, of which four works have been selected for the 5th Zhejiang Province Female Calligraphers Exhibition in 2018.
Yesterday afternoon, the reporter rushed to the Linhai City Museum, although the weather is hot and humid, the museum is still overcrowded, but the calligraphy exhibition held by the Women’s Book Club of the Xiaozhuyun Hall on the first floor, whether it is the scene design or the quiet atmosphere created, people unconsciously calm down.
Founded at the end of 2013, the Women’s Book House was named after the Qing Dynasty scholar Hong Yixuan’s library “Xiao Zhuyun Mountain Pavilion”, and the book club also rented Hong Yixuan’s former residence at the foot of Linhai Jin Mountain as a place to learn characters. Hou Hairong, the person in charge of the book club, said that in the past four years, the number of members of the book club has grown from 5 to more than 80 today. The purpose of organizing this calligraphy exhibition is to let the sisters feel the effect of their works hanging in the exhibition hall through the exhibition, and give everyone an encouragement to make them more confident to keep writing.
There are more than 100 calligraphy works on display in the museum, and the same author generally exhibits two works, one is a copy of the ancient post, and the other is the author’s original. “The sisters of our book club come from all walks of life, both old and young, and the little girl in her early 20s and the retired eldest sister get together because of a common hobby. Hou Hairong said, “According to the different personalities and hobbies of different people, the fonts they learn are also different, so as to fit their own hearts and have better development.” ”
According to reports, the book club was established only for more than four years, and the members of the “book age” of learning words are not long, but they have gained a lot of money, and three people entered the exhibition in this year’s Zhejiang Women’s Calligraphy Exhibition, and one person was selected. Since yesterday’s opening, the women’s calligraphy exhibition at the Kokumokan will last until May 25.
“Learning calligraphy is not to make one’s handwriting look better than others, but to learn education, style, patience and interest in the most direct communication with the ancients over and over again, learn to appreciate thousands of brushstrokes and ink, and appreciate the rare abstract beauty in this world. Hou Hairong said.
