The activity was launched on July 15th, with Huangshan South Village, Doumen Street, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City as the competition base. The contestants made suggestions for the construction of “beautiful countryside” in Huangshan South Village from the perspectives of location advantages, industrial characteristics, history and culture, and overcame the difficulties of epidemic situation, and completed research, discussion and several rounds of scheme modification by combining online and offline. More than 200 teachers and students from 27 universities in China, including Chongqing University, Southeast University and Zhejiang University, submitted 47 works, including 25 rural planning plans, 8 rural investigation and development planning reports and 14 rural design plans.
After on-the-spot investigation of Huangshan South Village, the expert group conducted several rounds of comments, discussions and reviews on each group of works. Yu Jianzhong, vice president of Zhejiang Urban and Rural Planning and Design Institute, pointed out that the competition works show the characteristics different from the planning achievements of major design institutes, with avant-garde concepts and novel ideas, but the landing design needs to be improved.
Du Yan, vice president of Shenzhen Urban Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., believes that the competition works reflect two planning and design directions: point depth and area system analysis, but it is necessary to further grasp the essential characteristics of the countryside and the development orientation characteristics of the base.
Leng Hong, a professor at the School of Architecture of Harbin Institute of Technology, pointed out that it is necessary to further strengthen the interpretation of the upper planning and related planning and planning theories, further grasp the problems and challenges faced by the village, and further improve the graphic interpretation of the planning scheme.
At the meeting, three “Best Landing Awards”, three “Best Popularity Awards” and six “Excellent Organization Awards” were also selected.
In the afternoon, six experts in the field of rural planning presented a wonderful academic report to the participating teachers and students on issues such as urban villages, traditional villages and rural social governance.
