In order to accelerate the promotion of the provincial archaeological exploration projects, deploy the work tasks of the special team, and promote the speed and efficiency of the provincial archaeological pre-examination and approval, on the morning of December 15, the provincial Bureau of Cultural Heritage held the sixth regular meeting of the special class of the archaeological pre-examination and approval.
Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism members of the party group, level inspector, provincial Bureau of Cultural Heritage Director Yang Jianwu attended the meeting and spoke.
Zheng Jianhua, deputy director of the Provincial Bureau and second-level inspector of the Provincial Bureau of Cultural Heritage, the main person in charge of the Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the head of the project management Department, the leaders in charge of Hangzhou Garden and Cultural Heritage Bureau, Ningbo, Wenzhou and Shaoxing Cultural Heritage Bureau, the heads of departments and the heads in charge of relevant subordinate units attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the Department of Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology introduced the progress of pre archaeological work in the province in the past two weeks. Each qualified archaeological excavation unit reported on the completion of pre archaeological projects in the past two weeks, as well as the work arrangements for accelerating and increasing efficiency in archaeological investigation and exploration in the next step. Starting from December 1st, the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau has entrusted the Cultural Relics Bureaus of Ningbo, Wenzhou, and Shaoxing to organize and implement archaeological investigations and exploration work within their respective administrative regions. The Cultural Relics Bureaus of Ningbo, Wenzhou, and Shaoxing have respectively reported on the progress of archaeological pre approval work.
To steadily, orderly, and efficiently promote the pre archaeological work in the province, Yang Jianwu proposed three requirements:
One is to enhance service awareness. All units need to transform their work methods, handle the relationship between cultural relic protection and land development, reduce the burden on enterprises, optimize the business environment, and better serve the overall economic development through archaeological research. They will fully ensure the implementation of the province’s thousand trillion dollar projects.
The second is to persist in persistent efforts. The archaeological exploration monthly clearance work has been successfully completed. We need to promote the continuous combat style, timely sort out the situation of existing projects, strengthen communication and docking with the Provincial Department of Natural Resources, and accelerate the completion and cancellation of existing projects.
The third is to accelerate the application of the system. The pre management system for land reserve archaeology in Zhejiang Province was officially launched at the end of November and is currently in a period of adaptation and adaptation. Each region should do a good job in promoting and applying management systems, timely follow up on the effectiveness of system use, ensure smooth system processes, and lay a foundation for the normalization of archaeological pre work in the future.
Finally, the meeting also emphasized that Wenzhou City, as a pilot city entrusted by the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau to delegate the pre approval authority for archaeology, should bravely shoulder the heavy responsibility and make pre approval for archaeology a key task to ensure the smooth implementation of pre approval work within the administrative area of Wenzhou City. Each archaeological excavation qualification unit should pay attention to the better integration of archaeological pre work and academic research, strengthen thematic archaeological investigation and research such as ancient bays, delineate possible burial areas for underground cultural relics based on the investigation results, and carry out targeted archaeological exploration and excavation work.
