Zhu Congjiu said that Portugal, as an important node country along the “the Belt and Road”, has close economic and trade exchanges with China. In 2019, the bilateral trade volume between China and Portugal reached 6.6 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 10%. Zhejiang is also a major coastal foreign trade province in eastern China, with a solid industrial foundation and broad prospects for cooperation between the two sides.
The 2020 Zhejiang Export Online Trade Fair (Portugal Station – Auto Parts Special Session) is the second stop of a series of online trade fairs organized by the Provincial Department of Commerce. It is supported by the Portuguese Ministry of Economy, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Bureau, Zhishan Co., Ltd., Portuguese Automobile Association, Portuguese Automobile Manufacturers Association, Portuguese Automobile Cluster Association, Portuguese China Chamber of Commerce, and others. The extension period is from April 8th to 23rd. Through internet information collection technology, cloud video conferencing technology, and cooperation with various automotive industry associations in Portugal, we have invited 80 leading multinational enterprises and overseas joint ventures with procurement intentions from Portugal to participate. 100 high-quality automotive parts companies from Zhejiang, including Quanxing Precision Industry Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yueling Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Global Filter Co., Ltd., which have been deeply involved in the European market for many years, participated in the exhibition. This year, Zhejiang will continue to build a free Zhejiang Export Online Trade Fair platform for enterprises, providing free export online transaction negotiation services for Zhejiang enterprises.
During the online trade fair, enterprises will rely on cloud platforms to accurately and efficiently connect with Portuguese buyers in real time. This event will also provide exhibitors with online sample display, online promotion, digital virtual display and other services through the “Global Trade Fair Connect · One Connect One Hundred Links” online supply and demand information collection platform. The exhibition will comprehensively and multi-dimensionally showcase the exhibits, allowing buyers to have a more intuitive understanding of the exhibits and related information, and promoting online transactions between supply and demand parties. It is expected that the 12 day online trade fair will achieve precise docking of nearly 200 sessions, with an intention to purchase an amount of 32 million US dollars.
In response to the global spread of the epidemic, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province encourages and guides various parts of the province to hold the “2020 Zhejiang Export Online Trade Fair (Series Station)”. The plan is to hold more than 50 online trade fairs in the first half of the year, and continue to provide free services for foreign trade enterprises in the province, such as order grabbing, market expansion, and share guarantee. In the early stage, the 2020 Zhejiang Province Export Online Trade Fair (Vietnam Station Textile Special Session) hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce reached an intended transaction amount of 145 million US dollars.
