On the morning of March 10, the third session of the Fifth Session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in the Great Hall of the People. Ma Xiaolin, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and president of the Henan Museum, shared his experience and thoughts on the commitment to making cultural relics “live” in the field of culture and museums, and the excellent traditional Chinese culture becoming more and more popular and deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
Ma Xiaolin said that in recent years, from the broadcast of “National Treasure”, to the “Out of the Circle” of “Tang Palace Night Banquet” and “Only This Green”, and then to the popularity of archaeological blind boxes of cultural and creative products, it is enough to see the people’s strong demand for traditional cultural consumption and their ardent expectations for spiritual and cultural life. This also prompts us cultural museum people to be more open-minded, cross-border cooperation, and constantly explore effective ways to make cultural relics “live”, so that cultural relics can be better integrated into life and serve the people.
Ma Xiaolin concluded that these successful cases have common characteristics. The first is to dig deep into the connotation, let the cultural relics “tide”, and find the combination of traditional culture and modern life. For example, the archaeological blind box launched by the Henan Museum combines the tradition of archaeological representation with the fashion symbolized by the blind box. The sparks created by the combination of the two allow everyone to discover the sense of surprise, bringing in and satisfaction brought by the cultural relics, and activate the curiosity, curiosity and excitement of young people. Ma Xiaolin gave an example.
The second is to innovate expression and make cultural relics “live”. “The Night Banquet of the Tang Palace was inspired by the cultural relics on display, allowing a group of painted terracotta figurines to ‘walk’ out of the museum and transform into a vivid and vivid Tang Palace girl, restoring and activating the historical scene, instantly awakening people’s historical memory and cultural identity, thus generating emotional resonance, and making many netizens exclaim that the ancient traditional culture can also be so fashionable. Ma Xiaolin said.
The third is the empowerment of science and technology to make cultural relics “move”. New technology allows the rich history and culture to travel through time and space, and the dialogue between the past and the present becomes real and palpable. The new media has also allowed cultural boutiques to be disseminated at a faster speed and with greater intensity, forming a top stream on the Internet and arousing public onlookers. Last year, Henan Satellite TV’s Chinese festival series was continuously launched, allowing audiences at home and abroad to feel the cultural charm of Henan. Henan will continue to make good use of the rich cultural relics resources to make more historical scenes that have been sleeping for thousands of years vividly reproduce.
“I believe that with the joint efforts of all of us, cultural relics will no longer be dusty history, and will transform into more vivid postures into our daily life. In fact, it is not only cultural relics and traditional culture that rise from ‘fire’ to ‘tide’, but also historical and cultural self-confidence in our hearts. Ma Xiaolin said.
