Starting from April, Kaihua County has been carrying out evaluation services for technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in accordance with the Notice of the Torch Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology on Carrying out Evaluation Services for technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in 2022. The implementation of this evaluation work is expected to reduce the burden of research and development expenses for enterprises.
One is to increase the proportion of additional deductions for research and development expenses. The proportion of additional deductions for technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises has increased from 75% to 100%.
The second is the extension of the period for carrying forward losses. Starting from January 1, 2018, enterprises that meet the qualifications for technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in the current year are allowed to carry forward the losses incurred in the five years prior to the qualification year that have not been fully compensated, and the maximum carrying forward period is extended from 5 years to 10 years.
The third is to support technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises to apply for high-tech enterprises. The Kaihua County Science and Technology Innovation Service Center will select a group of national technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises within Kaihua County that have strong independent innovation capabilities, good market prospects, and meet the basic conditions for identifying high-tech enterprises. These enterprises will be included in the high-tech seedling enterprise cultivation database, and cost subsidies and recognition awards will be given to those actively applying for high-tech enterprises in accordance with relevant policies.
