A few days ago, the “Calligraphy and Painting Porcelain Language – China Longquan Celadon Art Exhibition” was grandly opened at the Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum. Longquan celadon has gone through thousands of years and has survived to this day, containing the diligence and wisdom of the Chinese nation, and is a precious intangible cultural heritage of mankind. Premier Zhou Enlai issued an important directive in 1957 to “restore the production of the five famous kilns in China’s history, especially the Longquan kiln and the Ru kiln”; General Secretary Xi Jinping once pointed out that “Longquan celadon is a national treasure and must be well protected, inherited and promoted”. Under the care of national leaders, Longquan celadon skills have been inherited in an orderly manner, celadon art has continued to innovate, and the celadon industry has developed healthily, once again moving towards a new historical peak. The precious and unique celadon culture is a representative symbol of Chinese culture and an important connotation of regional comprehensive competitiveness.
The exhibition of “Longquan Celadon Art Exhibition” aims to promote the inheritance of Longquan celadon skills and artistic innovation, embodies the inheritance of traditional celadon inheritance to contemporary celadon inheritance, reflects the results of the cultivation of celadon characteristic talents borrowed by local and university mutual advantages, and creates an open dialogue environment for the integration of multiple arts such as books and paintings with celadon.
