The grand event is approaching, and Zhejiang is waiting for guests to come. On the morning of June 7th, the Provincial People’s Government held a press conference in our city to report on the preparations for the 2nd China Central and Eastern European Countries Expo and International Consumer Goods Expo, as well as the 23rd China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Fair.
The second China Central and Eastern European Countries Expo was hosted by Serbia and the Czech Republic, with Anhui serving as the province of honor. The exhibition covers a total area of 200000 square meters, and as of June 6th, all 3003 booths have been completed.
In terms of important guests, the heads of state of Serbia and the Czech Republic, as well as the deputy prime ministers or economic ministers of Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Greece, Montenegro and other countries, will deliver speeches through video. At present, more than 260 representatives of foreign governments, institutions, and enterprises have been confirmed to attend the conference, including more than 40 ambassadors and consuls general from various countries in China. 27 provinces and cities across the country will participate in groups, with 21 provinces and cities including Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Beijing, and Hainan led by deputy provincial or above leaders. In addition, at the main forum of the Zhejiang International Trade Fair, provincial government leaders and senior vice president of Johnson&Johnson Global will deliver an on-site speech. Executives from 46 Fortune Global 500 companies and multinational leading enterprises will attend the conference, with a total of 140 attendees.
This expo features 20 important events, including the sixth meeting of the China Central and Eastern European Union Chamber of Commerce on the morning of June 8th, the Global Health Industry Cooperation Conference and the China Central and Eastern European Medical and Health Innovation Development Summit on the afternoon of June 9th, covering multiple fields such as economy and trade, science and technology, health, and business association cooperation.
At present, the entire city of Ningbo has taken action to add color and escort to this conference.
In terms of strengthening epidemic prevention and control, Ningbo has issued and timely upgraded the Expo’s epidemic prevention and control plan and epidemic prevention instructions. Strengthen the detection and disinfection and sterilization of venue hotels, support vehicles, and exhibition commodities, and implement more stringent nucleic acid sampling testing, packaging disinfection and sterilization, independent stacking in the yard, unpacking sampling testing and other procedures for overseas exhibition commodities. As of now, Ningbo has completed vaccination coverage for approximately 3500 staff and volunteers in the venues and hotels involved in the event.
In order to improve the environmental appearance, Ningbo has implemented six major improvement actions, including urban building facades, elevated greening, urban appearance order, themed publicity atmosphere, landscape lighting, and garden greening. 30 themed green sculptures and more than 20 colorful welcome roads have been arranged at important intersections in the city, and a large-scale lighting show themed in Central and Eastern Europe has been launched at Sanjiangkou.
The organizing committee reminds citizens that the trade exhibition section of the Central and Eastern Europe Expo will be open to the public at 12:00 on June 9th. The exhibition hall has ticket purchasing points on site, and citizens can purchase tickets to watch the exhibition with valid documents such as ID cards. The ticket price is 10 yuan. Temperature measurement and code illumination are required when entering the museum, and a mask must be worn during the visit.
