As the leading market in the domestic leather industry, Haining Leather City is not only the distribution center of leather clothing, fur clothing, fur clothing, leather bags, fur, leather and footwear, but also the publishing center of leather price information, market conditions and fashion trends. Haining Leather City has 12 chain stores (including brand authorization) all over the country, with tens of thousands of market operators, with an annual passenger flow of over 10 million and an annual turnover of tens of billions of yuan.
Last year, affected by the epidemic, the leather city, which had been closed all year round, was closed for a month, and the overall sales volume declined in the first half of the year. In order to alleviate the impact of the epidemic, Leather City actively promoted the digital transformation of the leather industry and stimulated the market vitality by means of Taobao live broadcast. Today, the leather city has returned to its former vitality. According to statistics, there are currently more than 12,000 Taobao merchants in Haining Leather City, and more than 1,000 merchants can support the live broadcast of stalls. Many merchants have two or more stores in operation or supply. During Tmall’s “double 11” in 2020, the sales volume of Haining leather industrial belt exceeded 1 billion.
As early as 2018, Haining Leather City became the first clothing industry belt for Taobao live cooperation and began to lay out online business. On the day of “double 11” in 2019, more than 1,100 Taobao anchors participated in the live broadcast of Haining Leather City Industrial Belt, with total sales exceeding 800 million yuan. Since then, Haining Leather City has successively reached strategic cooperation with e-commerce platforms such as 1688, Tik Tok, Aauto Quicker and Pinduoduo, and the corresponding industrial belt live broadcast bases have also landed. In August last year, the first Tik Tok live broadcast base in northern Zhejiang settled in Haining Leather City; On September 26th last year, the “Fashion Chaocheng E-commerce Industrial Base” was officially unveiled in Haining Leather City.
Network has become one of the important sales channels of leather industry, and “cloud market” is also an inevitable choice for the upgrading and development of leather city market in the future. In the post-epidemic era, under the guidance of the new pattern of “double circulation” development, Haining Leather City will realize online and offline integration. By fully tapping the data value, it can not only provide guidance for offline shop adjustment and marketing upgrade, but also promote the further deep integration of the upstream and downstream of the online industrial chain.
