Want to plan an exhibition yourself? Now, just move your fingers and you can do it. Yesterday, “Generosity and Expertise: Retrospect Exhibition of the 30th Anniversary of China Silk Museum” opened in China Silk Museum.
The exhibition is divided into three major units: the history of national silk, the characteristics of national silk and the friends of national silk. It comprehensively combs and reviews the development stages from different dimensions, and the exhibition will last until June 5.
At the opening ceremony, the 2022 SROM Silk Road Online Museum was also released. According to Zhao Feng, director of the National Silk Museum, this is a digital museum initiated by the China Silk Museum, with the cooperation of more than 40 museums of the Silk Road Alliance at home and abroad, which integrates four functions of digital collection, digital exhibition, digital knowledge and curation on the cloud.
Curators can use the rich collection resources and exhibition hall materials in the “digital collection” to freely build venues, arrange booths and exhibits, carry out personalized decoration and complete the rendering of the exhibition environment, so as to create personalized virtual exhibition halls.
“At present, there are more than 2,000 collections in the’ warehouse’. At the same time, we hope to invite more museums to share digital collections. ” Zhao Feng said that offline exhibitions need space and funds. Through this platform, an exclusive exhibition can be completed only through different arrangements and combinations after the exhibits enter the venue.
It is understood that the time of this on-cloud curation contest is from April 15th to June 17th. All participating teams need to independently complete the creation and form design of the exhibition content through the SROM platform, select the exhibits in the “digital collection”, form the exhibition scheme, build the venue until the rendering of the exhibition environment is completed, and finally form a three-dimensional virtual exhibition and submit the exhibition works online as the participating works of this on-cloud curation. After the work is submitted, it will be submitted for evaluation in the “Digital Exhibition” section of the website.
