In order to conscientiously implement the Opinions of the General Office of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province on Further Improving Consumption, the 2014 Zhejiang Golden Autumn Shopping Festival, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce and undertaken by the Zhejiang Federation of Commerce and Industry and the competent commercial departments of various cities, was launched in all parts of the province from September 6 to October 7. On the morning of September 6th, the Provincial Department of Commerce, together with the governments of Hangzhou and Gongshu District, jointly held a festive and thrifty launching ceremony in Yintai City, west of Hangzhou, marking the official opening of the province’s shopping festival. This year’s shopping festival aims at “promoting consumption, expanding markets, cultivating brands and benefiting people’s livelihood”, with the theme of “Happy Autumn and Enjoying Life”, focusing on “Shopping in Autumn”, “Food in Autumn”, “Travel in Autumn”, “Leisure in Autumn”, “Online Shopping @ in Autumn” and “Exhibition in Autumn”.
