New progress has been made in the establishment of Hemudu National Archaeological Site Park! The reporter learned from the symposium on Hemudu cultural protection held yesterday (June 18) that according to the notice requirements of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage on the evaluation of the fourth batch of national archaeological sites parks, our city submitted the application materials for the establishment of national archaeological sites parks to the Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage on June 15. The site park start-up area project is planned to be included in provincial key construction projects, and construction is expected to start at the end of the year.
Hemudu cultural sites attract attention at home and abroad.
Yuyao has a long history and profound heritage. According to Yang Yuhong, director of Yuyao Culture, Radio, Film, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau (Cultural Relics Bureau), at present, there are more than 40 Hemudu cultural prehistoric sites in Yuyao, and Yaojiang Valley is the core distribution area of Hemudu cultural sites.
Among them, Hemudu Site is one of the “Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries in China in the 20th Century”, which is a milestone in the archaeological history of China.
