On November 29th, the 17th regular session of UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage was held in Rabat, Morocco. Good news came from the meeting: the project “Traditional Tea-making Techniques and Related Customs in China” declared by China was officially selected into the new UNESCO representative list of human intangible cultural heritage! The project was declared by Zhejiang Province. So far, a total of 43 intangible cultural heritage projects in China have been selected into UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list (roster), making it the country with the largest number of intangible cultural heritage projects in the world. Zhejiang has 11 human non-legacy projects, and the number of human non-legacy projects continues to rank first among all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China.
