A few days ago, the results of the 2022 Folk Song Invitational Tournament of “Singing the Yellow River” in Shanxi Province were freshly released, and the fishing song work “Singing Songs in Haitian” selected by Shengsi County Cultural Center and representing Zhejiang Province won the first prize.
“Singing Songs in the Sea” is a fishing song created by teacher Shu Xinhu of Shengsi County Cultural Center in 2019. It is a fishing song full of island charm. Relying on modern composition skills and Shengsi dialect, it shows the new life of Shengsi people in a more grounded way. Combined with traditional fishing songs, the melody is heroic and high-pitched, which fully explains the dangerous scene of fishermen fighting the sea and the sky. Until the end of the song, the gift of the sea and the joy of harvest came to life. Through teacher Shen Libing’s interpretation, the song shows the heroism of fishermen and the happiness of fishermen’s life vividly.
In recent years, group writers in Shengsi County have vigorously carried out the protection and inheritance of Shengsi fishing songs, and undertaken the rescue and protection of original ecological fishing songs and the creation of new fishing songs in Shengsi. Next, Shengsi County Cultural Center will continue to make a sound for Shengsi fishing songs, sing their unique charm and spread the strongest sound of Shengsi fishing songs.
