In recent years, cross-strait religious and folk belief exchanges have become increasingly frequent, and have developed from pure religious worship to cooperative and collective religious ceremonies and religious and cultural exchanges. Similar religious beliefs play a key role in mutual trust between the people on both sides of the strait, which is conducive to promoting cross-strait cultural exchanges and promoting cross-strait communication.
Wu Sangong, the ancestor of Lentinus edodes, is the common source of the cultural industry of Lentinus edodes on both sides of the strait. Over the years, qingyuan county has been carrying out a series of activities such as China (Qingyuan) Mushroom Culture Festival, Mushroom Culture Seminar and Edible Mushroom Health Forum, focusing on promoting the “Wu Sangong Folk Belief Culture” and “Mushroom Culture”, and has organized many worship ceremonies for Wu Sangong, the ancestor of mushrooms on both sides of the strait. In December 2011, the statue of “Wu Sangong” was exchanged in Taiwan, and the people of Taiwan Province held a grand blessing ceremony to welcome the “Mushroom God”. Taichung Mayor Hu Zhiqiang braved the rain as “Mushroom God” sedan chair, which was warmly welcomed by people from all walks of life in Taiwan Province. Since then, the mushroom people on both sides of the strait have formed an annual pilgrimage to Wu Sangong, the ancestor of mushrooms.
At the same time, with the deepening of the folk beliefs and cultural exchanges between Wu, San and Gong, more than 10 batches (times) of Taiwan Province enterprises and experts come to celebrate the exchange activities in science, technology, culture and education, thus promoting the development of industrial cooperation. Qingyuan county Taiwan Province Farmers Pioneer Park has implemented 43 construction projects since 2010, with an investment of 3.42 billion yuan and an investment of 687 million yuan (including planting blocks, processing and logistics blocks).
