This heavy weapon has a touching past lives. In 1978, the former Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics collected about 1/5 pieces of copper reed from Tongxian Material Recycling Company, and then experts repaired the copper reed from several pieces selected several times. The exhibition “Wan Nian Yong Bao” not only displays this cultural relic and presents the story behind it, but also refines the theme of the exhibition from the inscription of Bo Yi, showing the achievements in the protection of movable cultural relics in our collection.
Walking into the exhibition hall of “Wan Nian Yong Bao”, the artistic style of futuristic and traditional style is coming. Exquisite cultural relics, simple cultural relics knowledge and colorful interactive experience make the exhibition scientific, professional, popular and interesting.
Painted Terracotta Warriors unearthed from the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, silk protein reinforcement of purple-brown Luo Yinjin painted lace in Huangsheng Tomb of the Southern Song Dynasty in Fuzhou, restoration of vehicles in the Warring States Period in Majiayuan, and restoration of stone armor … The exhibits select representative and typical cultural relics, tell the story of cultural protection technology behind each cultural relic, and show new discoveries in scientific cognition, new technologies in protection and restoration, new achievements in process restoration and new concepts in preventive protection.
China Silk Bo.Zhou Yang, deputy curator of the Museum and curator of the exhibition “Everlasting Treasure”, said: “Through the exhibition, we hope to interpret and embody the scientific and technological innovation of cultural relics from knowledge production to knowledge dissemination. Through the integrated design of’ cultural relics+technology’, the visiting context from laboratory, restoration space to museum workspace is outlined to help the audience intuitively understand professional cultural protection knowledge and re-understand Chinese civilization with the help of scientific and technological means. “

Enhance interactivity and immersion.
During the exhibition, the exhibition of “Wan Nian Yong Bao” expanded the knowledge dissemination and audience of cultural relics protection technology through live broadcast, visits and lectures. Inside and outside the exhibition hall, science and technology are everywhere.
In the exhibition hall, AR (Augmented Reality) technology is introduced, and wearable devices such as APP and AR glasses are used to realize the interactive display of virtual and reality in the exhibition hall. Set up a number of experimental demonstrations based on acousto-optic technology, so that the audience can be there and “understand” the principle of cultural protection technology in a second.
Outside the exhibition hall, 10 lectures on the protection of cultural relics in the collection presented the protection and restoration concepts, technologies, materials and scientific research achievements behind exquisite cultural relics to the public. The exhibition is also presented across time and space through online virtual display.
The biological exhibition experience of calligraphy and painting allows participants to understand the mounting process of traditional calligraphy and painting, and understand that the protection of cultural relics requires multidisciplinary intervention. In the parent-child activity of “learning from the past and looking at the present, thinking as a mirror”, the instructor introduced the history and culture of ancient Chinese bronze mirrors to the audience, and the audience could make bronze mirrors by themselves.
Some viewers left a message, which is the first time to understand the details and work behind the cultural protection while watching the cultural relics and understanding the history.
Enhance professionalism and storytelling
Qin Shihuang Terracotta Warriors Museum (the predecessor of Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Museum) cooperated with Bavarian Cultural Relics Bureau in Germany, and used two sets of protection methods to reinforce the painted pottery figurines, which effectively protected a number of unearthed precious painted pottery figurines and made it possible for the unearthed pottery figurines to retain their colors in the future. In the “Wanbao Yongnian” exhibition, the true color reappearance-the production technology and color restoration of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang Mausoleum used images and videos to show this technology.
Not only is it “natural”, but it is also why. “For the cognitive scientific knowledge of cultural relics, in the past, it was mostly for the interpretation of historical information of cultural relics. In the face of the audience’s deeper demands, we will pass on the academic knowledge of cultural relics protection to the audience in an easy-to-understand manner. ” Zhou Yun said, taking cultural relics as a starting point, the achievements of interdisciplinary research in archaeology, materials science, arts and crafts, and history of science and technology will be displayed, so as to restore a relatively complete ancient technical system and make the traditional crafts that have lasted for thousands of years shine with new brilliance.
Today, natural history. The exhibition curation of the museum is more in-depth, paying more attention to showing the stories and details behind the exhibits and increasing the interactive experience, which has become the trend and focus of the exhibition in recent years. “Zhejiang Shangshan Cultural Archaeology Special Exhibition” reflects the early settled villages in China and their social production and life through rich archaeological knowledge introduction, scene restoration and multimedia display. “Mei Lanfang’s Art Life Exhibition” interprets the artistic creation of a generation of artists in different historical periods through the precious objects related to Mei Lanfang’s artistic life, and also specially displays the costumes worn by Mei Lanfang in different periods.
At the same time, with the help of the Internet, the content categories and presentation forms of the exhibition are also more diverse. Many exhibitions rely on online and offline linkage, through immersive exhibitions and other innovative forms, attracting the attention and punching of many young audiences. Experts pointed out that the exhibition can dig deep into the story and present rich details, so that the audience can know more about the relevant knowledge and background. The development of the Internet and the progress of technology will also bring different experiences to the exhibition, making cultural relics and exhibitions “alive”.
