A delegation of more than 20 people from the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, led by Ms. Liu Shiyun, President of the Institute, member of the Election Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and managing director of Yonglixing Group, arrived in Hangzhou for a four-day visit on June 24, 2012. During its stay in Zhejiang, the delegation had extensive and in-depth exchanges with the Provincial Construction Department, the Provincial Communications Department, Zhejiang University, the Provincial Bureau of Surveying and Mapping and other units on related businesses in the professional field and their future development prospects. He also visited the Hangzhou Bay Bridge and the Hangzhou Urban Planning Museum. Through on-the-spot investigation and exchange, we have deepened our understanding of the economic construction and development of our province, and felt the future cooperation and development space between Zhejiang and Hong Kong.
On the evening of 24th, Peng Bo, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, hosted a banquet for the delegation. Deputy Director Peng Bo welcomed President Liu Shiyun and his party and introduced the economic and social development of our province. He said that exchanges between Zhejiang and Hong Kong have always been frequent, and closer professional cooperation with Hong Kong is an inevitable choice for Zhejiang to accelerate the transformation of its economic development mode and adjust and optimize its industrial structure. As one of the most dynamic and influential institutions in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors has always attached great importance to strengthening ties and cooperation with the Mainland, and has made positive contributions to the economic prosperity of the Mainland and Hong Kong. I hope that the visiting delegation can personally experience the development of Zhejiang, further strengthen the communication and cooperation between professionals in the two places, and strengthen contact and common development.
