In order to better understand the needs of all ethnic groups in the community and improve the service management level for the people of all ethnic groups, recently, Yiwu Happiness Community held the first session of the National Council, and more than 10 representatives from different ethnic groups attended the meeting.
At the meeting, representatives of all ethnic groups expressed their opinions and suggestions on issues that everyone was most concerned about, such as children’s schooling, preferential policies for ethnic minorities, Yiwu’s policy of benefiting enterprises and cultural life in Yiwu, and Zhang Li (Miao), vice president and secretary general of Yiwu Association for the Promotion of National Unity and Progress, answered them one by one from the aspects of information resources, policy answers and suggestions for solving difficulties. At the meeting, the representatives of all ethnic groups sincerely communicated with each other, and they all said that this kind of meeting was in a good form, which gave the compatriots of all ethnic groups in the community an opportunity to put forward opinions and suggestions face to face and solve difficult problems. Through the activities, they also made many new friends in the community and promoted exchanges and integration.
It is reported that the Happiness Community in Yiwu has 32 ethnic groups, including 1134 ethnic minorities, which is a community with a relatively concentrated ethnic minority population. In recent years, the community has actively organized public welfare activities such as production and life skills training, voluntary service, and mediation of contradictions and disputes, relying on the sharing and co-construction mechanism of “integrating party building” and casting a solid sense of the Chinese nation’s community, helping people of all ethnic groups solve urgent problems and worries at zero distance, effectively promoting national unity and community stability.
