Since the beginning of this year, Haishu has intensively released a series of measures, covering multiple consumption scenarios, to promote consumption by providing a maximum subsidy of 5000 yuan for car purchases, 2000 yuan for home appliances and mobile phones, and 200 yuan for targeted shopping vouchers exceeding 1000 yuan. The driving effect of Haishu’s measures to promote consumption is gradually becoming apparent.
‘Full Fire’ Promotes Consumption
Consumption is the key link and important engine to smooth the domestic systemic circulation. In the first quarter, our city achieved a total retail sales of 1112 social consumer goods.600 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5%.9%。
On June 2nd, the “Several Measures for Further Stabilizing the Economy and Promoting Development in Haishu” (hereinafter referred to as the “Measures”) was released, with greater efforts to support the stable development of enterprises and promote the smooth operation of the economy. Among them, the new round of Haishu consumption “big gift packages” has attracted attention, with a total investment of 25 million yuan. And ‘no need to grab coupons’ has become the biggest highlight.
It is worth mentioning that in the new round of consumer promotion measures, “automobiles, consumer electronics, and household appliances” have become three key categories.
Automobile consumption is seen as a major driving force for the overall recovery of consumption. Recently, corresponding policy measures have been introduced from the central to local levels to encourage automobile consumption. If the vehicle is delivered or invoiced, corresponding subsidies will be provided based on the purchase invoice price, with a maximum subsidy of 5000 yuan for the consumption card (purchase invoice price of 300000 yuan or more).
At the same time, in order to expand the scale of the consumer electronics market and promote the consumption of household appliances, Haishu District provides subsidies for home appliances and consumer electronics promotion activities at the same time. Individual consumers who purchase qualified consumer electronics, household appliances, and other products will be subsidized at a rate of 10% of the sales price, with a cumulative maximum of 2000 yuan per person.
The “accuracy” of consumer voucher issuance is a topic worth continuing to explore. In addition to the three product categories of “automobiles, consumer electronics, and household appliances” in this round, in early March earlier, Haishu also launched the “targeted shopping mall consumption voucher” in Ningbo, which attracted attention and became a reserved item.
It is understood that there are two denominations of “targeted shopping mall consumption vouchers”, which are available for 200 yuan for those over 1000 yuan and 100 yuan for those over 500 yuan. They can be used in seven large shopping malls, including Heyi Avenue Shopping Center, Yintai Department Store East Gate Store, Yintai Department Store Tianyi Store, Ningbo Second Department Store, Ningbo International Shopping Center, Kugou Mall, and Ningbo Shanjing Outlets.
Significant rebound in passenger flow
Round after round of consumer promotion activities and real gold and silver subsidies have truly stimulated the consumption enthusiasm of Ningbo citizens, with significant results.
Taking the recent Dragon Boat Festival holiday as an example, on June 3rd, the daily passenger flow of Tianyi Square exceeded 190000, an increase of 70% compared to the previous weekend; On that day, the sales volume of Heyi Avenue Shopping Center increased by 81% year-on-year.7%; Multiple catering brands line up at the entrance
According to the monitoring of 17 shopping centers, department stores, home appliance stores, and supermarkets in the entire district by the Haishu Bureau of Commerce, from June 2 to June 3, the cumulative sales revenue was 5792.80000 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23%.3%。 Among them, seven large shopping malls, including Heyi Avenue Shopping Center, Yintai Department Store East Gate, Yintai Department Store Tianyi Store, Ningbo Second Department Store, Ningbo International Shopping Center, Kugou Mall, and Ningbo Shanjing Outlets, achieved a total sales revenue of 48.41 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 36%.9%。 The negative growth trend since the beginning of this year has been reversed in one fell swoop, and the consumer market is active and recovering significantly.
The driving effect of home appliance sales is particularly evident. Three home appliance stores, Suning, Gome, and JD.com, achieved a year-on-year increase of 50% in sales on June 3rd.3%, the pulling effect of government subsidies is significant.
According to statistics from the Haishu Bureau of Commerce, in the first five months of this year, Haishu District has issued a total of over 21.6 million yuan in consumption vouchers, shopping cards, and gas cards, with a verification rate of 80%.7%, driving nearly 200000 people to consume and directly leveraging consumption.500 million yuan, of which nearly 400 million yuan was driven by automobile consumption. In June, Haishu invested another 25 million yuan in promoting cars, home appliances and consumer electronics, focusing on promoting mass consumption.
More precise ‘supply and demand docking’
In addition to the government’s strong efforts to promote consumption, the suppliers of consumer goods and services are also actively taking action to ensure a matching, precise and smooth supply and demand.
As a leading home appliance retail enterprise, Ningbo Suning E-commerce actively cooperates with the new round of subsidy policies, launching the “6.18” activity in advance, offering 500 yuan of heart vouchers for doubling the pre deposit of 30 yuan, and a maximum refund of 5000 yuan for home appliance purchases. More than 1000 SKU products participate, with discounts added to 10% Haishu consumption subsidies, and some home appliance products can be as low as 60% off; JD Five Star, together with industry associations, has launched a subsidy of 1 billion yuan for the benefit of the people. At the same time, it has collaborated with well-known home appliance enterprises in the industry such as Haier, Midea, and FoTai to promote the upgrading of home appliance consumption. Each household appliance can receive a maximum subsidy of 1000 yuan.
Each major business district carefully plans theme activities. In the Tianyi and Yishang districts, Yintai Tianyi and Dongmen Erdian are hard core linked. Tianyi stores return home children’s brand vouchers to Dongmen stores when they consume over 300 yuan. Major brands jointly broadcast a preview of the “6.18” major brand drop, attracting many young consumers; Sugii Olai has launched VIP floral salons and graffiti handicrafts in conjunction with the Mid Year celebration; More than 20 merchants in the joint commercial district of Tianyi Square and Heyi Avenue conducted live food broadcasts, with over 120000 viewers
The precise awesome consumption promotion policies and measures have boosted not only consumer confidence, but also confidence in high-quality economic and social development. And multiple rounds of consumer promotion activities are also driving the rapid recovery of the Ningbo consumer market, with the “fireworks” becoming increasingly strong.
