There are more and more electric cars running on the road, but car owners often have a headache: there are idle charging stations nearby, but they cannot share them due to different brands. How to break through the blockage in the use of charging stations and make electric vehicle owners worry free? On August 6th, the first government regulated service platform for electric vehicle charging facilities in Zhejiang, “Jinhua Green Line”, was launched. By connecting 29 charging station operators and 1532 public charging stations in the city, it made it more convenient for more than 40000 electric vehicles in the city to “call”. On the afternoon of the 6th, electric vehicle owner Feng Yunfei followed the navigation of the “Jinhua Green Line” and drove into the “Jinhua Green Line” square charging station located on Hualong South Street in Wucheng District. Taking advantage of the charging gap, he demonstrated the function of “Jinhua Green Travel” to the reporter. How much is the charging price, how many idle charging stations are available, and whether to charge for parking are all the concerns of car owners. There is no need to frequently switch apps anymore, “Feng Yunfei said.” It’s equivalent to installing a ‘charging butler’ on your phone, which makes driving out more reassuring
With the leapfrog growth of electric vehicle ownership, charging facility operators have sprung up like mushrooms after rain, but it has also caused problems such as “inconsistent services, opaque prices, unreasonable layout, and inadequate supervision”, and even disorderly competition among different operators. In response to these pain points and blockages, the “Jinhua Green Travel” has emerged. Chen Wanchun, Director of the Energy Department of the Jinhua Development and Reform Commission, said that after the government led the integration of data from various platforms, the service entrance was unified. Users can quickly search for the nearest charging station through mobile applications, achieving basic services such as pile finding and navigation. At the same time, “Jinhua Green Line” also provides characteristic convenient services such as price comparison, intelligent recommendation, and pile construction declaration, achieving data fusion applications.
The scattered charging stations are connected to one network, achieving a win-win situation for car owners, enterprises, and the government – making charging more convenient for users on the “application side”, forcing charging station operators to regulate market behavior at a “transparent price”, and providing data support for government regulation on the “governance side”. On the backend of “Jinhua Green Travel”, the reporter saw that through real-time monitoring of static assets and dynamic operation information of the city’s charging stations, “data maps” such as electricity consumption, charging frequency, charging heat, current and voltage are automatically generated, achieving precise review and distribution of charging facility subsidies for operators, full supervision of operational safety, and providing accurate basis for charging infrastructure planning and layout through big data analysis.
As of now, the “Jinhua Green Travel” platform has connected to 29 charging station operators, 222 charging stations, 1532 charging stations, and 1867 charging guns. The operator access rate has reached 100%, and the public pile access rate has reached over 90%.
Jin Wensheng, Director of Jinhua City Development and Reform Commission, said that in the future, the “Jinhua Green Line” will also connect passengers when they arrive at the station.Carving, public bicycles, mobile energy storage and other functions provide better travel services for electric vehicle owners, deepen the implementation of the “dual carbon” goal, and assist in the development of the new energy vehicle industry.
