The first is to be politically United. Seriously study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, actively guide people in the Buddhist community and religious believers to practice the socialist core values, and help launch the brand of China-based religion of “One Heart, Honesty and Righteousness”. Vigorously carry out the special work of improving the environmental quality of welcoming the Asian Games, guide the monasteries to work hard to highlight their characteristics, improve their color and enhance their bright colors, and contribute wisdom and strength to the realization of “running a good Games and upgrading a city”. The third is to unite as one. We will continue to carry out comprehensive and strict management of education, deepen the activities of “improving the quality of religious people in the year”, further strengthen the implementation of the system, implement the Code of Conduct for Buddhist Teachers, and form a good atmosphere of unity and cohesion.
The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the speech made by Qiu Qiwen, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Minister of United Front Work, at the 2023 Spring Festival Symposium of religious figures in the province, reviewed and adopted relevant work reports and systems, and informed and commended advanced groups and individuals.
