This year marks the 20th anniversary of FAO’s “Global Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage” initiative. On July 18th, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, together with the Ministry of Agriculture of Iran, Italy, Japan, Peru, South Korea, Thailand, Tanzania and other countries, jointly held a global conference on important agricultural cultural heritage in Qingtian, Zhejiang Province in the form of online and offline combination. With the theme of “protecting the common agricultural heritage and promoting the overall rural revitalization”, the conference discussed major issues such as the global important agricultural cultural heritage and the resilience of the food system, the sustainable development of rural areas, and the improvement of farmers’ livelihood.
